Ophthalmology

The University Medical Center Utrecht is an uveitis expertise center and has a great deal of knowledge about the origin and treatment of all forms of internal eye infections (uveitis). The team of experts strives for close collaboration with the pediatric immunology department of the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital, the laboratory for translational immunology and the diagnostic expertise center Bartimeus. The team is 100% committed to the early detection of eye conditions and a tailored multidisciplinary treatment for children. The team that specializes in children with uveitis consists of Prof. Dr. J.H. de Boer and Dr. V. Kalinina Ayuso.
