Follow Me Intensive Care Children
We believe it is important to monitor the health and development of your child, also after discharge from the hospital. Both the condition that was the reason for admission to the Intensive Care, as well as the treatments on the Intensive Care, can influence the health and development of your child. At the Follow Me outpatient clinic, children will be invited for an extensive check-up several times after discharge from the Intensive Care. A team of different healthcare providers is involved in this check-up.
Prior to the appointment at the Follow Me outpatient clinic, we ask you to complete questionnaires. The questionnaires are about the physical health of your child, and the psychological health of your child, siblings and yourself as a parent/caretaker. A child with health problems can influence you as (a) parent(s)/caretaker(s) and possibly other children in the family.
